Retaining the Arts Behind the Walls
In and around the tranquil atmosphere of the walled fortress area of Galle there are charming colonial streets with many interesting sites scattered about. Despite its turbulent past, this World Heritage Site is a lovely place to wander and explore the small shops, art galleries and European bistros during your trip to Sri Lanka
The East Coast of Bali
Oh what wonderful people we found in PadangBai. We stayed overnight in this quaint little fishing bay scattered with tiny, brightly painted wooden, one-man fishing canoes with sailing masts. I enjoyed the sunrise scene when all the boats came drifting to shore and dumped their catch mackerel – in the buyers buckets. North from Padang Bai is the resort town of Candi Dasa.

That was an extraordinary trip, with so many highlights, moments of awwwh, and ooooyy, of simple pleasure and laugh among friends. Sue, you did a marvelous job organising transport and hotels – wow, you are one of the best, maybe THE best trip organiser I ever run into. If you plan another discovery trip: count me in, AND I will pay in advance!
What an adventure we had
What an adventure we had huh? the giggle massage, truck ride up to golden rock…”ill pay you in a minute”, sudden bat cave and canoe ride, Bagan’s majestic temples, Nygapli beach with the beautiful sunsets, motorcycle ride with the boys scoring beetlenut, fun, fun, memories to last a lifetime. You did so well planning our trip, considering unknown territory and challenges with tourism and travel in Myanmar, so cudos to you. Hope all is well in Bali
